EILEEN:

Are you going to have a busy day, Martin?

 

MARTIN:

Not too busy. I'm going to finish a story.

 

EILEEN:

Sue, please call Alan. His breakfast is getting cold.

 

MARTIN:

What are you doing today?

 

SUE:

Alan! Hurry up! You're late.

 

EILEEN:

I'm going to be very busy today.

 

MARTIN:

Do you want me to shop today?

 

EILEEN:

Can you? I can't come home until seven o'clock. Can you
shop?

 

MARTIN:

Sure.

 

ALAN:

Good morning.

 

EILEEN:

Good morning.

Morning, Alan.

 

ALAN:

I didn't sleep last night.

 

EILEEN:

Are you sick?

 

ALAN:

I don't think so. May I have some tea?

 

EILEEN:

Eat something too.

 

MARTIN:

I'm going shopping today. What do you need?

 

SUE:

Me? I need things for school. I need some notebooks. And I
want a new pen. I don't like my pen.

 

MARTIN:

I'm going to buy food. What food do you want?

 

ALAN:

I don't want any food.

 

MARTIN:

You are sick.

 

SUE:

He listened to his stereo all night.

 

ALAN:

I did not.

 

SUE:

I heard it. All night.

 

EILEEN:

Now, now. Let's help daddy. What do we need from the store?

 

MARTIN:

What do you want, Eileen.

 

EILEEN:

Please buy some nice tomatoes.

 

MARTIN:

OK. Anything else?

 

EILEEN:

Buy some onions.

 

MARTIN:

We need some milk.

 

EILEEN:

And bread.

 

SUE:

I want some new cereal. I don't like this cereal.

 

EILEEN:

You wanted it.

 

SUE:

I don't like it.

 

EILEEN:

What do you want?

 

SUE:

I don't know. Daddy, you buy some cereal.

 

MARTIN:

Do we need any eggs?

 

ALAN:

Ugh. Don't talk about eggs.

 

SUE:

Yes, he's sick.

 

EILEEN:

I want some green vegetables too.

 

MARTIN:

Do we need any meat?

 

EILEEN:

No, we have some. Buy some fruit.

 

MARTIN:

Sue, what kind of fruit do you want?

 

SUE:

Bananas.

 

MARTIN:

Alan, what kind of fruit do you want?

 

ALAN:

Oranges. Do we have any oranges now?

 

EILEEN:

Yes. Do you want one?

 

ALAN:
