1. down the street この down は「下方〜」という意味ではないから、坂を下るのではない。 along the street と同じ意味の口語表現。

2. enter 〜  enter 〜 で「〜の中へ入る」という意味だから、間違って into をつけて言わないこと。 cf. go into

3. pass  「定期乗車券」

4. wickets 「改札口」

5. platform 「 プラットホーム」日本語では略して「ホーム」ということが多いが、英語では略していうことはできない。　cf. track  e.g. Catch the train at Track No. 4. （4番線の列車に乗りなさい）

6. get in line 「行列に加わる」 get in a line 一列になって並ぶ

7. wipe 「拭う」
